So we drew Arsenal in the cup again – which reminds me of the time we stayed darn sarf to watch bwfc against the Arse. Of course _ i don’t remember much about the match – that’s not my thing, ask AJC if that’s what you’re after he’ll give you stats forever e.g. colour of the subs underpants, Bergkamp’s hairdresser etc etc.
However I can tell you about the gaff we stayed in – some tiny rooms attached to the back of a rather nice Italian restuarant although it did seem a bit dodgy when we strolled in at 1.30 in the morning and the local mafia were having a meal meet at the back of the place! This is the trip we went on one of our legendary all day benders and if i remember correctly I won prize for best all round ‘stayer’ After th egane we went into a boozer just down the road from Highbury and the Mayor of Bolton was sat on the next table also having a pint. Some of the Gooners thought this rather funny but we all had good humoured banter…

Trips Away & A bit more of my history
Unfortunately, when I was a season ticket holder and travelled to away games it was years ago when BWFC were in the lower echelons of the football heirachy. Forget about about Anfield, St James Park, teams like Villa and Spurs, think more of Leyton Orient, Wrexham, Carlisle and then you’ll get the idea.
I have managed to get to Wembley on a number of occasions – play’offs, League Cup Final against Liverpool and the games we have had at Millennium Stadium. These are, of course, fantastic occasions and the memories will live with me till I drop.
Just out of interest, I’ll post a few details of some of our trips away, mainly for the benefit of the lads I travelled with!

I was just thinking the other day about the horrible trip to Carlisle. Basically we abandoned the M6 on the official supporters coach due to major tailbacks and took a scenic route through the Forest of Bowland. This was all very nice for about five minutes but once you seen one tree you’ve seen them all. We eventually got back onto to motorway with no hope of catching the start of the match. One poor young lad ( about 7 ) needed to pee badly and because we were late no-one would allow the coach to stop so he was held by his belt out of the coach font door whilst it was moving and ordered to pee with the scenery flying past at 50mph! Probably ended up with more than just a pee to think about maybe skidmarks as well!
Sponsored by Superbock we now have flights arranged – just need to get a ticket
Anyone going from Ireland?
